Keep Your Curves Where You Want Them
Let’s face it: achieving a flat, toned abdomen is not always an easy feat. Between diet- and exercise-resistant pockets of fat, the toll of aging, weight fluctuation, and pregnancy, your tummy is getting quite the workout—just not in the way you hoped. Once muscles and skin have stretched after pregnancy or weight loss, no amount of core work can flatten your abdomen quite the way you want or reduce excess, loose skin.
If this sounds like you, it may be time to consider a tummy tuck. Also called abdominoplasty, a tummy tuck can give you a firmer, flatter, and fitter midsection that you will be proud to call your own.
“I lost one pant size just from getting the Tummy Tuck […] I haven’t felt this confident about my body in 10 years. Thank you so much!”

This popular cosmetic surgery removes sagging skin, tightens and flattens the underlying muscle structure, and restores a slimmer, more pleasing profile to your body. After a tummy tuck, you won’t have to worry so much about waistbands digging in or slim-fitting tops riding up.
The VASER Assisted Tummy Tuck Difference:
Total Tummy Contouring for an Even Better Body
Traditional tummy tucks mainly address loose skin and overstretched muscles, but do relatively little about abdominal fat, especially around the lovehandles, hips, and back. Denver Plastic Surgeon Dr. Gregory Buford offers the innovative VASER-Assisted Tummy Tuck, a procedure designed to help you shed excess fat and tighten and tone your midsection for a more enhanced improvement in appearance.
VASER is an advanced liposuction technique that uses ultrasonic waves to precisely target the fat cells that you want gone. When used in combination with a tummy tuck, VASER helps Dr. Buford sculpt a beautiful contour, providing better results than either procedure alone could achieve. Before & After

Drain-Free Tummy Tuck Technique = Great Results + Easier Recovery
One downside with traditional tummy tuck surgery is the need for external drains to collect fluid for the first 1 to 2 weeks and help prevent a complication called “seroma,” or fluid build-up. While temporary, drains require care and attention from the patient during a time when she needs to concentrate on recuperating, and they can be uncomfortable and unsightly.
Recognizing that eliminating drains can dramatically enhance his patients’ recovery, Dr. Buford uses a special internal suturing technique called progressive tensioning, which allows him to minimize apace between the newly tightened abdominal muscles and overlying tissues. He further closes this space using Fibrin Glue, a biologic surgical adhesive that helps seal the operated tissues. Thus, he is able to significantly reduce the risk of seroma without drains. Additional benefits of a drain-free tummy tuck include:
- Enhanced comfort during initial recovery
- A lower scar that is easier to conceal beneath lingerie or a swimsuit
- No drains to tote around or empty out
Most of our patients are good candidates for this option, which Dr. Buford will discuss with you in detail during your consultation.
